14U Head Coach
Joe’s playing career started in Independence, MO. where he attended Truman High School. He then attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. where he was a 4-year starting pitcher. Joe has coached for the McKinney Marshals and helped the Richardson Baseball high school with their off-season program. He has also worked with the Marshals as far back as 2008. Joe consults to help teams organize and run more efficient practices. He has instructed athletes ranging in age from 8- 18 with fielding, hitting, and pitching since 2005 in the Dallas metro area. Joe has previously coached players in Division I and Division II ranks attending Dallas Baptist University, University of Texas – Arlington, and Ouachita Baptist University.
Torey grew up in Texarkana, Texas playing baseball. After a successful high school career that included a New Comer of The Year Award and multiple All-District Honors, Torey decided to apply the lessons that he learned from the game to the business world. Torey is an entrepreneur and veteran sales and marketing leader with a passion for sustainability and environmental issues. In the fall of 2013, Torey teamed up with Coach Joe Griffin to co-found The Green Sox Baseball Organization with the idea of teaching players 8 through 18 how to be excellent baseball players and good stewards of the environment.
12U Athletic Director, Head Coach
Desmond played in high school, junior college and Division 1 baseball in California. He pitched and caught in Junior College and was recruited by San Jose State to catch. He played there for two years in the Big West Conference. Desmond has been coaching youth baseball for the past two years and enjoys it.
12U Assistant Coach
Randy was a two sport athlete at McKinney Boyd High school, but baseball was always his number one focus. He was voted 1st Team All District as a pitcher and 2nd Team All District as a first baseman during his senior year. After graduation, he went to play at Lon Morris Junior College. His coaching career started during summer breaks working for Frozen Ropes where he worked the summer camps and gave 1 on 1 hitting and pitching lessons. He has had two years of great baseball out at Lon Morris strictly as a pitcher only. Randy was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to play professional baseball overseas in Australia where he played one season there. After he returned home he jumped on board with the Green Sox organization. He has coached with the Green Sox organization for 3 seasons and has loved every bit of it thus far.

14U Assistant Coach
Taylor was born and raised in east Dallas where he attended Woodrow Wilson High School. There Taylor was awarded 1st Team All District at short stop his senior year. After high school he attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Sports Marketing. Taylor began his coaching Career with the Green Sox in 2015 and specializes in infield, outfield, and hitting. Outside of baseball Taylor works as the Director of Ticket Sales for the WNBA Dallas Wings.
Taylor currently lives in Dallas with his wife Marija, his daughter Yvie, and his dog Libby.
